Identifying, negotiations, survey, procurement, inspection and delivery of a VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) supertanker

In 2016 we received a request to locate a VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) supertanker, from our client.
The client had a demand to set up his own crude logistics and had a need for FSO (Floating Storage & Offloading unit) for 2,000,000 barrels.
We managed to get them in contact with one of the largest companies in the world, Frontline (https://www.frontline.bm) in Norway. They were selling off one of their perfectly maintained tankers, the Front Scilla.
The process was successful concluded, and she is now called the Ugo Ocha. Since August 2017 she is operational in Nigerian waters.
On top of this challenging project, we also designed the new logo of the Ugo Ocha and arranged for a custom-made small replica which now decorates the headquarters of our clients’ office.
